Caity climbed out of her Jeep and grabbed her towel, her book, and a few snacks from the back seat. There were very very few people at the beach, which surprised Caity, with such a beautiful day she couldn't believe no one else was out here! She took a deep breath of the fresh air, that's what she loved about this town, no matter where you were, there was always fresh air and open room, it was really nice. She walked down to one of the little dock areas and spread out her towel and laid on her stomach and began reading her book. [/blockquote]

Megan threw the ball hard this time. Tango could use the exercise anyways. Tango darted out after the ball, barking at every other stride she took. She ball landed in the lake and Tango dived on in after it. She was definitely not afraid of the water. Megan saw what was happening and she hope her dog hadn't disturbed the peace around the lake. She rushed after her and called her name. Tango came swimming back with the tennis ball in her mouth. She got to shore and ran to Megan before shaking her body. Water sprayed everywhere and Megan couldnt' help but laugh. Good girl. She said and Tango replied with a bark and another chance to throw the ball. Megan tossed it this time so it wouldn't go so far. Tango darted after it. Megan noticed a dock and realized that this town was very small. She saw Caity who had actually sold Tango to her and her brother not long ago. She walked up to her. Hello Caity. She smiled and sat down near her. She removed her flipflops and let her toes touch the tip of the lake water.

Caity shut her book and turned around, sitting up. Oh, Megan! Hey! How are you and Tango getting along?! She asked excitedly, she had been wondering about how Tango was doing with her new family but she didn't want to disturb the peace or anything, so now, when they bumped into each other, Caity figured it would be a good time.

Megan smiled at Caity and then looked over at Tango who had forgotten the tennis ball and was now sniffing the nearby bushes. Megan laughed and looked back at Caity. Well she's sure happy. She said and looked down at her feet. She could see the water swishing between her toes. She loved the water and like her brother she liked to jet ski. They were both water freaks. She looked up and noticed a boat and watched the wake that was following it. Just then Tango had come up and laid down next to Megan. She's wearing herself out as you could probably tell. She said and patted the top of Tango's head.

Caity looked behind her and saw Tango. She looks so great and happy! She said with excitement. She laughed when Tango plopped down next to Megan. Who knew that with a lot of love and more room, she would tire herself out! I guess she doesn't have an endless energy supply! Caity said as she slipped off her flip-flops and scooched down closer to the water's edge and slid her feet into the water. It was just the right temperature and felt great as it slowly crawled a little higher up her calves and then retreated and repeated the motion over and over again.

The wake had reached where the three were sitting. Megan laughed as the water reached her denim shorts. She continued to scratch the top of Tango's head. Yea she's been playing ever since she came home. She laughed. She was proud of Tango and the decision that her and Brian had made the decision to get her. I love her. She said. She looked at Caity. Brian was right, she was pretty.

Caity's eyes widened as the water came up and reached her shorts as well, she wasn't quite expecting at it, and she laughed at herself a little. Yeah, it's hard not to love this beautiful girl! Caity said looking to Tango. So is Brian just as happy with her as you are? She asked, curious about if they were both happy with the decision of Tango, because it helps a lot if the whole household was happy.

Megan grinned at the question Caity had asked. Why would she be asking about Brian? And how does she remember his name? She only met him once. But that was an assumption. O yea he likes her a lot too. We haven't introduced her to the horses yet but we're pretty sure she'll be just fine. She told Caity with a smile on her face. Do you have any pets? She asked out of curiosity.

Caity smiled. Well that's good! She watched a group of kids on an inner tube being pulled slowly behind a boat and she laughed a little. Oh, the safety's of small towns. She thought to herself, people born and raised in small towns just weren't gutsy and "go out and get 'em" kind of people. She turned to Megan. Oh, yeah! I love animals! Couldn't live without 'em! She said with a big smile. I have a little five month old Labrador Retriever mix male, he's got quite a bit of energy bound up in him as well. She said with a smile, thinking about whether or not he was tearing up everything in her house. He was exhausted when she left him, but she didn't yet know how quickly he bounced back with his energy.

Megan laughed. It must be those young ones. She thought about how Tango had climbed on the couch and started digging like there was a treat burried down in it. Just so happened that there was some popcorn kernels stuck in the cracks of the couch but she had scratched the poor piece of furniture worse than a cat would. She grinned at the thought. She didn't know what else to say to her but didn't want to leave quite yet.

Caity nodded. It must be! She said with a laugh. So how are you doing with your horses and all? Caity asked, trying to keep up the conversation, Megan seemed like a nice girl, and she didn't really have any friends in this small town. It was tough coming into a town that had been so small and close for some time. People seemed to judge really easily and Caity wished that she didn't rub anybody the wrong way, but even if she had, there was nothing she could do about it, so she let it go. [/blockquote]

Megan gave a funny look. It's a lot of work that's for sure. She said. She shrugged and looked at Tango who was now sitting enjoying a nice rub on her white chest by Megan. There's a lot of horses and only a few who can exercise. She said. But we're getting there I guess. She laughed out loud. There was so much that she needed to do and Brian wasn't quite helping. He was too busy lifting weights in his room all day then playing some video games. She rolled her eyes at the thought. Boys were dumb.

Caity watched Megan as she spoke. I'm guessing there's a little bit of annoyance with someone in that situation? She asked with curiosity as she reached her hand out to Tango. I sure have missed you! She thought to herself, wishing that Tango was telepathic, That would kinda be cool! She thought to herself with a nod of the head before she turned her attention back to Megan. [/blockquote]

Megan kicked her feet a little, splashing at the water that was still soaking her feet. She rolled her eyes a little. Yea. Brian doesn't quite help much. She laughed. It was kind of ironic. He was a lesson instructor. He should love to ride. But he had ridden all his life just like she had. Maybe he was just getting sick of it, hopefully for a temporary time.

Caity laughed a little. Man, someone's gotta whip that boy into shape!!! She said with sarcasm as she rubbed and scratched Tango, giving her some attention, just like the old days. She was happy that Tango had a home now, but she was sad that she couldn't see her more often.

Megan laughed and noticed her sarcastic tone. But there was no need for her to be sarcastic. She was perfectly right on what she said. Brian could be really lazy at times and it annoyed her alot, especially since they had moved here. He seemed more depressed and just out of it all of the time. Megan tried to stay out. Do you have any siblings? She asked Caity, wondering if she had the same problem that Megan had to deal with. She looked at Tango. The ball was leaning against her tail. When she wagged it the ball flew into the bushes. Megan smiled.

Caity did a half-wince at the question and looked away from Megan and towards the water. Um, no... She said, hoping not to get into it. It was kind of a sore subject, and Megan doesn't really need un-needed drama or stress on her. Caity looked back at Megan and kind of forced a half-smile, hoping that she didn't let off too much or anything, she wanted to keep the conversation light and cheerful!

Megan nodded. She didn't understand but she could tell that Caity was uncomfortable about the subject. She decided to drop it. She stood up with her yet feet making prints on the dock wood. She grabbed the tennis ball that had rolled into the bushes and Tango lept up from her sitting position. Megan chucked the ball out in the water. Tango lept and began to swim to the ball and grabbed it in her mouth. Megan sat back down next to Caity. So how long have you lived here? She asked. She herself had lived here for a while but she had never seen Caity around.

Caity smiled as she watched Megan and Tango, wishing that she had brought Yankee with her. Um, about a month now. She said with a smile, looking towards Megan. How long have you and your brother lived her? She asked with curiosity. It was a very small town, but Caity loved it. [/blockquote]

Megan dipped her toes into the water again. She watched as Tango came swimming back with the ball in her mouth. She was a young dog but very strong. She climbed back onto shore and dropped the ball at her feet. She shook herself free of any excess water then grabbed the ball again and brought it back to the dock. This time she went to Caity and set the ball down next to her. I've been here about a month too! She said. It must've been a coincidence.
