When Megan and Brian were driving Megan had to yell at him. He was being so immature. Tango sat in the back and barked whenever someone raised their voice. Brian you can be a little bit more friendly. I don't understand why you're being such a jerk. She said, starting out the argument. Megan there's nothing wrong. Stop getting on my case. Tango barked. Megan rolled her eyes at Brian. You just seem really immature. She said. She put both hands on the wheels and looked at the windshield. Brian didn't reply. Megan looked at him again. Hello? She said, anger in her voice. Tango barked. Brian shook his head. I don't know what it is Megan ok?! He said. Bark. Megan slapped the steering wheel. Whatever. When we're at the ice cream parlor cheer up. She said. Bark. Fine! Brian replied. Bark. Finally they pulled up to the parlor and parked the car. Megan and Brian began to get out of the car.

Caity pulled up in her car with "The Call" playing and she was singing along. She pulled up a space away from Megan's car, turned her car off and hoped out. She looked to Megan and Brian and gave a smile as she started to walk towards the Ice Cream Parlor, thinking of what kind of ice cream she wanted. She heard this place had good ice cream, but she had never been here. She would definitely need to look at the menu for a little bit. [/blockquote]

Megan smiled back at Caity and walked up to her. Have you been here before? She asked, opening the door for her and Brian. Brian got behind Megan and held the door for himself. He walked in and heard the bell sound as the door shut.

Caity thanked Megan for holding the door open and shook her head. No, I have wanted to for a while though, what about you? She asked her as the bell sounded. She walked up to the counter, just close enough so she could read the menu of flavors and try to figure out what sounded good as she waited for Megan's reply. [/blockquote]

Never. Megan replied as they walked up to the counter together. Brian followed the two girls and tried his best to cheer up like Megan had told him to. He walked up the counter with the girls. The person behind the counter stood in front of them. We need a minuted. Brian said and began to look at all the flavors. Megan eyed the Mint Chocolate Chip and couldn't turn it down. She asked for the person. I'd like a single scoop mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone please. She said and he began to scoop it for her. She then got out of the way of Caity and Brian and checked out in her car at Tango who was sitting in the driver's seat.

Caity eyed the choice that Megan had and thought that that would be delicious, but then she saw Jamoca Almond Fudge, and that was one of her favorites! May I have a single scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge in a waffle cone, please? She asked the employee of the ice cream parlor. She watched as the employee rinsed the spoon of mint chocolate chip and scooped out a pretty big scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge and slide it into the cone. Caity took it, thanked the employee, and paid him with a smile before turning back to Megan and walking to her so that Brian could order what he wanted. [/blockquote]

Megan had already grabbed her ice cream cone and grabbed a table. She began to lick the cone and watched Caity order and come sit down. She smiled. You didn't have to pay for that, Brian was going to take care of it. She giggled. But it was true, he needed to pay something back to her. Brian ordered a bowl of 'Gold Medal Ribbon' and had paid the employee the price of his and Megan's. He grabbed two more dollars from his wallet and walked over to the table and sat down next to Megan. He slid the money across the table in front of Caity. I wanted to pay for it. He said with a smile andn took a spoonful of his ice cream.

Caity smiled at the gesture. Well, thanks, but you really don't have to. She said, leaving the money where it was. She hated taking money from people, and it's not like he had asked her to come. But, if it was going to be a big deal, she would take it. That's why she left it where it was, so she wasn't being rude and refusing it and shoving it back to Brian. She hated confrontation, and she hated taking people's money. It made her uncomfortable. She licked her ice cream and looked at Brian's. That looks good, what is that? She asked curiously. Brian left the money where it sat and he knew he wouldn't take it back. He would try to be more of a gentleman to Caity. He realized how much of a jerk he had been, even when sending that text message. She swallowed his bite of ice cream and pointed to the bowl with his spoon to reply to Caity's question. Gold Metal Ribbon. It's vanilla and chocolate ice cream mixed with caramel. He said and looked at her ice cream cone. What about yours? He asked. Megan continued to lick her mint chocolate chip and listened to them, not bothering to join in quite yet.

Caity smiled. That sounds good, maybe I'll have to pick up that next time. She said taking another lick of her ice cream cone. This is Jamoca Almond Fudge. She said, it was one of her favorites, especially when she was having a bad day, but this was a day where she just got it because it sounded delicious. [/blockquote]

Brian said nothing back and nodded at Caity. He took another bite of his ice cream and couldn't think of something else to say so he stayed silent, figuring Megan would probably say something. That sounds good. Megan said after she wiped her face with a napkin. She smiled. She was already down to the waffle cone part.

Caity nodded. It is, but I have it a lot, so I think it's time to broden my horizon's. She said with a smile as she got closer and closer to finishing the ice cream cone. She was down to the end of the waffle cone, her least favorite part, the part without any ice cream. After eating just the ice cream, and then the cone with the ice cream, just the cone tasted super dry. [/blockquote]

Megan laughed. I don't blame you. She said and finished her ice cream cone. She tried to think of something to talk about that would involve everybody. She was kind of sick of talking about the town and how small it was and how everyone got there. Brian had finished his ice cream and got up and threw the bowl away. Megan looked at Caity. How old are you? She asked out of curiosity.

Caity took the last bite of her dry waffle cone as Megan asked the question. I will be twenty-one in a few months. She said with a nod of her head, not quite sure why she added the nod, it kind of just came in with the fact. She was excited about her birthday, but wished that she would have some more friends to celebrate it with. All of her past birthday's have been really big deals, being in a big city and all, and her mother always felt bad that she never got to be with her daughter, so she made up for it by throwing her gigantic birthday bashes, and this year, her 21st birthday, the biggest so far, seemed like it was going to be a total flop. Megan did a clap. Good for you that's so exciting! She said, probably with a little more enthusiasm than needed. She wiped the table in front of her with the napkin she had wiped her face with earlier. Brian had come back and sat down. My 21st birthday sucked. He said chuckling a little bit afterwards as he looked at his memory at his party he had. The cops had caught him partying that night and almost all of his friends got in trouble, considering they were mostly younger. Brian had to repeat a grade in elementary school. He'd never forget that night.

Caity laughed a little as Brian did. Well, I figure that mine probably will too. She said with a smile. How old are you, Megan? She asked, recalling that she didn't know. She could guess that Brian was just 21, but Megan acted older than him. As they say, men mature very, very, very slowly, and Caity had yet to meet a guy who proved that saying false. [/blockquote]

Megan leaned on the table and laughed along with the other two. She was happy that Brian was cheering up a bit. I'm 19. She said with a smile. Almost 20 though. She said, remembering her teenage years. They weren't too exciting. But was couldn't wait to grow up anyways, which was strange for a person as young as her.

Caity smiled. Exciting! I loved turning twenty! She said, remembering the distant birthday that she had spent out on her mother's houseboat with a big group of friends. She wiped her face and hands with a napkin, trying to get all the rest of the ice cream off of her. [/blockquote]

Megan tried to think of a few more things to talk about. She glared at Brian. So you got a boyfriend Caity? She asked out of curiosity and curiosity only. Brian sat back against his chair and looked down at his phone, replied to a text message, and looked back up to listen in to the conversation. He grinned a little.

Caity noticed the most recent glare that Megan had given Brian, there had been a lot so far tonight. She shook her head in answer to Megan's question and laughed a little bit. Oh, no. What about you? She asked Megan as she watched Brian look down to the text and then look back to the girls, she wondered what the grin was about while she waited for Megan's response. [/blockquote]
