He was suddenly confused. He put his hands on her shoulders as she kissed him twice but he didn't pull away. When he let go he looked at her, but not with the expression that he enjoyed it. He did enjoy it but it was sudden. He looked at her and listened. Your welcome but... I don't get it. He said, still confused. He didn't know what to think anymore, or even what to tell her or say to her. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees and held his hands together, looking down at the sidewalk.

"You are confused" she stated as she looked away from him. Hell, even she was confused. One moment she liked him, the other he was just a friend and then she liked him again... Honestly she didn't know what to say or do about it.
"Thank you... for not being a jerk when I freaked back there, and for putting up with me as I told you all this stuff. It probably sucked big time to hear me" she explained "And to be honest, I'm more confused than you, I really don't fully understant what is going on with my feelings, so I apologize for that too" she paused for a little and smiled some "You must be thinking I'm completely crazy right?"

Brian nodded and looked at her. He smiled a little as she explained herself. He grabbed her hand and held on tight to it again. He looked her in the eyes. Yes Eliza. You're crazy. He teased and laughed, intertwining his fingers around hers. Once again, he didn't want to let go. He cuffed his other hand over the two and squeezed. It's ok. Sometimes people need to rant. He said and smiled. He kissed her forehead and then looked at her again, waiting for a reply.

She was finally feeling better, he was making her feel a lot better, she was, well, feeling just fine again, like she was before, and all it took was some words. She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead and then laughed. Keeping the jokingly tone, she seemed to ponder something "And here I was wondering if I should date him or nor. But since he thinks I'm crazy, I think I should reconsider..." she said staring at their hands "Even though our hands sure look cute together"

All Brian could do was laugh. He sqeezed her hand harder and looked down at the them when Eliza did. He looked back up into her eyes. So... do you think you could handle me? He asked with a teasing tone. He never let his eyes leave hers. Like... maybe as a couple? He had done plenty of 'asking out' and each time he tried to make it different. He would admit, this one sucked. But he just wanted her, and quick. He wouldn't let anyone else take her before he had a chance with her. He'd beat the kid up if he had to.

"I think... it's worth a shot" she said with a smile. It was defenatly worth a shot. And well, if it sucked, it would suck for both. Most of the people from the club had gone by now and it was near to closing time. She got up, much against her will and smiled "I really think I should be going now"

Brian kissed her forehead again and when she stood up he did too. He smiled at her, he couldn't believe she was his and only his. He gave her a sad face when she told him she had to go. Well, how bout we do something after you're done working? He pleaded and started walking up the steps. He grabbed her hands and intertwined them together again. He looked at her, wanting desperately to kiss her more and never stop. He smiled but had a hoping on his face that she would say yes.

She looked to the club entrance and then back at him "What do you have in mind?" she asked. Well, it woulnd't be long before the club closed, all she had to do was pretty much help cleaning, and she actually couldn't say no to the look Brian was giving her.

Brian's look didn't chance when Eliza replied to him. He didn't let go of her hands either and leaned in for another kiss. He kissed her on the cheek. I don't know maybe... hang out somewhere. He said, nervous that if he said his house she'd say no. Megan was at the house anyways but she was probably asleep by now. She had to wake up early almost every morning. But he knew if she caught him he'd probably get yelled at. But he was confident they wouldn't get caught anyways.

Eliza smiled "We could go to my place" she said before she could stop herself. But the truth was that she needed to get home. She needed to check on Casanova otherwise she might not have a home to come back to.
She held his hand as she walked inside the club. Most people were gone by now, so she started to help cleaning some of the tables.

Brian let go of her hand as she went off to clean the tables. He followed her a little bit. How about I help you clean up a little bit first? He asked, not wanting to leave her sight. He grabbed a rag that was already sitting on a table and began to wipe down the bar where he had been sitting just minutes before. He looked at Eliza and smiled, feeling he belonged to her.

She's a rebel She's a saint She's the salt of the heart and she's dangerous --------------------------------------------------"What? Oh there's no need to do that" She replied casually as she kept with her work. Came from being an only child, she had grown used to doing things by herself. Not to mention that she had always taken care of herself... It was really hard to see her asking for help. Some could say that she was too God dam* stubborn to ask for it, but she wasn't. She simply didn't like to have a great fuss around her, so she normally kept to herself.
However, Brian had already started, so she figured that she should just leave him be. A sigh escaped her lips when old memories came to her mind once again. Right now, she thought about her friends, at college, who used to come to her workplace almost every night. Ok, every night she worked. They spent most of their time joking around and laughing, and most of them just hang around until she closed the place, like Brian was doing right now. Yeah, well, everything had changed now, right? Even her master in Architecture had been put on hold since the accident. She simply couldn't keep on going, with every place reminding her of what she had lost.
The movement of her hands became mechanic, as she got herself lost in memories of the past... she truly loved New York. It had always been her favorite place to be. It had been very painful to leave, especially to a small town such as this. Her friends considered the fact that she might be out of her mind, when she had told them about her decision... And maybe she really had been, she thought, the idea making a smile curl her red lips. -------------------------------------------------- brian! 288 lovely words! done!

Brian had continued cleaning the bar he had been sitting at no matter what Eliza told him. He could do it if he wanted and he really just wanted this cleaning business to go fast. He didn't want to hang around here anymore. The country music was still playing but it was at a much quieter beat. He started wiping the stools down. Who knows someone could have just spilt their drink. Better to clean it sooner than later right? And he didn't want Eliza to have to worry about it. He looked up and her. There were so many questions he wanted to ask her. So much he wanted to know about her. He didn't know where to start. So Eliza, why would you come here from New York? He asked, looking up at her with a little bit of a teasing smile. He moved on to a nearby table and began to clear that off as the last group of people finally left the place.

She's a rebel She's a saint She's the salt of the heart and she's dangerous --------------------------------------------------Humming a quiet tune to herself, that had nothing to do with the country music beat that could still be heard, Eliza carried on with her current task, barely noticing when Brian spoke to her. Registering the question, her sorrow took over, but as she turned around, a smile had found its way to her red lips. Her words were paused, as if she was weighting them. “Well, I just needed to start new, that’s all.” a short answer, but it had been all she could give. Wanting to get away from New York was understandable, but moving to a small town in the middle of nowhere, was strange and even her was trying to understand it.
It had been a serious decision though. As she placed a tray down, she considered it… she had left a whole life behind her. Right now she would be surrounded with her friends, going to school and just being happy… Instead, she was cleaning the tables. A sigh escaped her lips. Happiness could still be worked on, but things would never be the same. Wanting to avert the topic from her she thought about something to ask him, even though that her nature didn’t like to ask personal questions to other people, the same way she wasn’t particularly fond of having them asked to herself. Biting her lip thoughtfully, she pondered whether she would look nosy or not. Either way, she had already been asked the question so she figured that she could ask him the same. “By the way, you aren’t a native, are you?” she finally asked, hoping that this would prevent a further background investigation. Not that she had done many shameful things… she simply preferred not to have people wondering about her.

The country music turned off along with the lights to the front of the rose. He looked at Eliza with a grin, wondering what all she was thinking and praying and hoping she didn't regret meeting him. He smiled. Definitely not. He said with a small chuckle at the end. He put his rag he was working with in the sink and let the water rush onto it. He grabbed it again and squeegied it out then walked to the tables. He began to wipe those down. It was extremely quiet with the music now turned off and it gave him the urge to just grab her and start kissing her. But he would hold back. That is how he had messed up before and he learned his lesson this time. Why do you ask? He suggested and looked back down at the table he was working on.

She's a rebel She's a saint She's the salt of the heart and she's dangerous -------------------------------------------------- Green eyes sparkled as the girl cleaning the tables laughed. "You just didn't seem the type that lives in a small town" she said with a shrug. Her work was finally done and she put the cloth she had been using to do so away. Again curiosity tugged at the back of her mind, and her quiet persona found herself in a dilema. She wanted to know more about him, but she feared he might consider her nosy or something like that. Ususally, she didn't like to ask personal questions to people, since she didn't like them being asked to herself.
As she walked to the room in the back, she finally gave in... "What made you move?" she called back to Brian, who was still at the club itself.
