Ruff! Ruff! My name is Rose I need a home & someone to love me Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pitbull Terrier Mix Size: Med 26-60 lbs Color: Black w/ white Sex: Female Age: 5 months Rose's Story: Baby Rose is a female Pit or Pit mix pup found on New Year’s Eve, in the gutter of a busy South Central street on which another dog had recently been killed in traffic. Too young to have survived on her own, she owes her life to kind neighbors who took her into their shop and kept her safe until she could go to a foster home. This baby was hardly recognizable as a dog – her poor little face was practically bald and she was missing most of the fur on her head and legs. Happily she turned out to be suffering from an acute flea allergy which was easily cured with a medicated bath followed by Advantage. The sores and scabs quickly cleared up, and her fur is nearly regrown! Rose is all puppy – very loving and cuddly, very playful, very energetic. She’s got a sharp little brain, too – as soon as she was out of quarantine she mastered the doggy-door, and is already virtually house-broken! She’s also crate- and leash-trained and well-socialized with people and other dogs. Though her personality is still developing; she is playful, confident, and curious and unafraid of new situations ((without showing aggressive traits). Pics: *Pics & Info found at adopt-a-pet.com
